Shalimar Alpacas was named for one of the wonders of the world, the Shalimar garden in Srinagar, India. This beautiful, peaceful garden was created for Muntaz Mahal, wife of Sha Jahan, the prince who designed the Taj Mahal. When professional perfume creator, Olivier Gillotin, created an alpaca farm for his wife, Patricia, the beauty and wonder of the alpacas residing there made the name Shalimar Alpacas seem perfect.
